JET SKIING ON THE HUDSON RIVER IN NYC!
Are you looking to host a truly memorable engagement party in NYC? Leave behind the typical venues, including restaurants, and harness the power of riding a jet ski across the Hudson River! Bring your entire engagement party to the Liberty Landing Marina in New Jersey. Before you know it, you and up to 15 guests will climb aboard jet skis and take off toward NYC. Together, you’ll experience one of the most exhilarating rides in the Big Apple for your engagement celebration.
Engagement Jet Ski Tour Details
Celebrating your engagement in style by taking a jet ski tour is certain to leave your guests with plenty of good memories. Experience the adrenaline rush as you crank your jet ski up to 55 MPH and feel the wind in your hair. As one of the most unique, best places for an engagement party in NYC, everyone will be vying for a spot on your guest list.
Do you have some guests who feel a bit nervous about riding a jet ski? No problem! We offer tandem riding, so they won’t have to take the reins. Instead, they can hold their partner tight and simply enjoy the experience! Plus, this enables you to expand your guest list. We have a total of 16 jet skis, which means you can have as many as 32 people at your engagement party.
Even better, tandem riders will have a chance to swap places with their driver approximately halfway through your tour. In other words, they’ll have enough time to settle their nerves before being given the chance to ride across the Hudson River.
What’s Included in Our Romantic Jet Ski Rentals?
- Enjoy 1 to 2 hours of riding around the Hudson River.
- Our Marina has separate bathrooms and changing rooms.
- Attentive tour guide who ensures you have a memorable experience.
- Water shoes, wetsuit, life vest, and riding accessories are provided.
- Each guest gets a private bin to lock up their belongings.
- Go up to 55 MPH, which feels much faster than on land!
Instead of deciding on a normal party, book Sea the City and the Hudson River as your engagement party venue in NYC. Don’t forget to let us know about your special event!
Sights You’ll See
Our jet ski tour of the Hudson River and East River is a thrill seeker’s paradise. Can you imagine looking next to you and seeing your partner having the ride of their life? You’ll both receive a nice dose of adrenaline that will bring you even closer together as a couple. Plus, your guests will rave about your unique party. Rather than having to sit in a venue such as a restaurant, you’ll all enjoy being outside on the water. Crank your jet skis up to 55 MPH and go!
1-Hour Jet Ski Tour
Our meeting location for your engagement party idea in NYC is just across the border. Assemble your party at Liberty Landing Marina in New Jersey, where we’ll host a 10-15-minute safety training session. Even if no one in your party has been on a jet ski before, you’ll all be ready to take off once this session is over. Additionally, you’ll get to see some of the best sites in New York City during your one-hour ride, including:
- Brooklyn Bridge
- Statue of Liberty (Lady Liberty)
- Ellis Island
- Liberty Island
- The World Trade Center
- Verrazano Bridge
- Governors Island
- Wall Street Heliport
- Staten Island Ferry Terminal
2-Hour Jet Ski Tour
Want to make your spectacular engagement party even better? While spending an hour on a jet ski is great, it’s not quite as good as spending between 2 and 2.5 hours on the Hudson River. This choice will kick your party into higher gear! Plus, our 2-hour jet ski tour enables you to see many more iconic landmarks.
Again, we’ll meet at the Liberty Landing Marina in New Jersey. Once our 10–15-minute training session ends, you’re free to take off! Sites you’ll encounter include:
- Freedom Tower
- Jane’s Carousel
- George Washington Bridge
- Yankee Stadium
- The Pepsi Cola Sign
- Williamsburg Bridge
- Verrazano Bridge
- Statue of Liberty (Lady Liberty)
- Jersey City’s Colgate Clock
- UN Headquarters
- The Columbia ‘C’
- Hudson Yards
Sightseeing from the water provides a unique experience that most other people won’t ever have. You’ll get to see things such as the Statue of Liberty, and you can also take wonderful photos of your journey. Come join us for your engagement party, and you’ll blow the minds of each of your guests!
Have a Truly Memorable Experience
Riding a jet ski is an exhilarating way to celebrate your engagement. It’s also the perfect way to celebrate your anniversary, birthday, and more. Of course, you can also book a tour without having a reason at all!
Every member of your group will be treated to a transformative experience. Once you’ve spotted some of NYC’s most iconic landmarks from the water, you’ll wonder why everyone doesn’t take advantage of NYC’s waterways. Join us for the adventure of a lifetime.
Meet the Crew
Your jet ski tour leader is a qualified professional who has dedicated themselves to assisting new and experienced jet ski riders. They understand the importance of teaching basic jet ski skills, along with providing basic safety training. You must always stay within your tour leader’s eyesight while out on the water.
Additionally, our various crew members make sure your jet ski is in high-quality condition. It is always our intention to deliver a smooth ride. If you notice anything odd about your jet ski, however, please immediately bring it to your tour leader’s attention.
Your safety—and your fun—is our top concern. Although you may not meet our entire crew, you can rest easily in the knowledge that each and every one of them is fully dedicated to ensuring you have a fantastic time!
More Than a Tour. An Adventure.
Experience New York Harbor like never before, on your own Sea-Doo GTX Pro, with a guide riding alongside.
You Drive. You Control.
This isn’t a boat tour where you’re just a passenger. You’re on your own Sea-Doo GTX Pro, carving through the harbor with Manhattan’s skyline as your backdrop. Your guide rides alongside — not ahead on a distant boat.
Water-Level Views
Get closer to the Statue of Liberty than most people ever will. Park your jet ski right next to Ellis Island. Cruise under the Brooklyn Bridge. These aren’t distant views from a ferry deck — you’re in the water.
Perfect For Everyone
First-time visitors who want an unforgettable NYC story. Locals celebrating something special. Adventure seekers tired of the same old tourist traps. Groups looking for the one activity everyone will actually enjoy.
The Story You’ll Tell
Your Instagram feed will thank you. Your friends will be jealous. This is the one NYC experience they’ll ask you about months later. Not “how was the ferry?” — “Wait, you drove a jet ski past the Statue of Liberty?!”
Your Journey
5 or 12 Stops – 1 incredible tour
1 Hour Tour
One World Trade Center
Start with NYC’s tallest landmark
After your safety briefing and a quick skills check, you’ll throttle out into New York Harbor with One World Trade Center rising in front of you. From the water, you get a full, unobstructed view of the Downtown Manhattan skyline.
Photo Tip: Turn back toward the city and frame the full skyline with One World Trade Center centered in your shot.
Skim past the heart of the Financial District
Start with NYC’s tallest landmark
Next you’ll shoot up the East River, passing the bright orange Staten Island ferries and the buzzing Wall Street Heliport. This is where you really feel the movement of New York Harbor all around you — ferries, barges, tour boats and helicopters.
Photo Tip: Watch for ferries crossing the channel and helicopters overhead for those classic “only in New York” action shots.
Brooklyn Bridge
Ride beneath one of the world’s most famous bridges
Glide beneath the Brooklyn Bridge and take in sweeping views of both Manhattan and Brooklyn. Your guide will give you time to slow down, soak in the arches, and capture the iconic bridge-and-skyline perspective from water level.
Photo Tip: Face back toward Manhattan and position the bridge off to one side of the frame for a dramatic wide shot.
Governors Island & Verrazzano View
Cruise the Brooklyn shoreline with harbor panoramas
From the bridge you’ll follow the Brooklyn shoreline past Governors Island. On a clear day you’ll spot the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge in the distance, marking the opening of New York Harbor out to the Atlantic Ocean.
Photo Tip: Look south for a wide, cinematic view that captures the harbor, Governors Island and the Verrazzano all in one shot.
Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island
Circle Lady Liberty and finish with a skyline finale
To cap off the tour, you’ll ride straight across one of the busiest natural harbors in the world to get up close to the Statue of Liberty. After a slow loop around Liberty Island, you’ll pass Ellis Island and line up your final photos with the Manhattan skyline behind you.
Photo Tip: Use burst mode as you circle the statue so you can pick the perfect frame with both Lady Liberty and the skyline in the background.
