2026 World Cup Fan Fest

Welcome to FIFA 2026 at Liberty State Park

The world’s largest sporting competition is kicking off in Liberty State Park for the New York and New Jersey Region this year. The park will feature eight exciting soccer matches with the first one happening on June 13, 2026.

If you’re planning on going to FIFA 2026 we’ve put together this guide of what you need to know about it before you head there. We’ve also included some can’t-miss activities like Jet Skiing on the Hudson so you can make a day of it!

When Is the NYC/NJ FIFA Fan Fest?

Liberty State Park will serve as the celebration hub for 39 days straight June 11–July 19, 2026. You can expect crowds, watch parties, and plenty of excitement right on the Hudson with NYC as the backdrop.

What Is the FIFA Fan Fest?

Think of it as one giant outdoor party for soccer fans. Giant screens show live matches, food vendors line up with international flavors, and there’s music and activities for all ages. It’s designed for people who don’t have stadium tickets but still want the energy and community that comes with a World Cup.

Official Events & Sponsors (TBD)

Details will roll out closer to the tournament – entertainment, sponsors, and special events will be listed on the official FIFA website.

How to Get to Liberty State Park for FIFA 2026

Whether you’re visiting or a native to the area, getting to Liberty State Park for FIFA 2026 is pretty straightforward.

Public Transportation Options

When taking public transportation from New Jersey, just hop on the PATH train to get to the event. It will take to the Hoboken Terminal where you will then transfer to the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail. You’ll ride the light rail all the way to the station at Liberty State park station that’s in the park

Ferries from NYC and New Jersey

Ferries depart from the Battery, at the southern tip of Manhattan, and Liberty State Park in Jersey City. Both of these options give you plenty of scenery to enjoy during the trip. For example, you’ll cruise past the skyline and relax to the churning Hudson waters.

If you want to take the ferry from Manhattan, take the PATH train or subway to the NY Waterway terminal that’s located at Brookfield Place. Then, get on the Liberty Landing Ferry for a fast and direct trip to Liberty Landing Marina within the park.

Alternatively, you can take the ferry from Hoboken. Get on the path train to Hoboken and then take the New York Waterway ferry which arrives practically at the Fan Fest entrance.

Parking Near Liberty State Park

Driving to the event is generally not recommended, as it’s a hassle and expensive. If you do decide to do it, bear in mind that there are no designated parking spots. However, privately operated places to park are located along West Street & South Street beneath FDR Drive with a parking fee. Parking will be tight, especially on match days, so plan on arriving early if you’re driving in.
